Our Letter Search and Match Activity is a popular activity with children in preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten! It focuses on teaching letter recognition, letter identification, letter-sound correspondence, and fine motor skills.
We’re all about making learning fun and engaging! Our Letter Search and Match Activity uses 3-D objects, like glass jewels and pom poms, to introduce a fun sensory element to learning. This helps engage children’s long term memory when learning about letters. This is the first building block to becoming a successful reader!

26 Letter Mats for A-Z
What sound(s) does the letter make? Point to the pictures at the bottom of the Letter Mat and listen closely to their initial sound.
Place a glass jewel over the matching letters! Children can also use pom poms, counting bears, a whiteboard marker, or anything else you have on hand. 🙂
Children who need a more difficult variation can point to the letters that they didn’t cover with a jewel and say their name and sound(s). Can they think of anything that starts with that letter?
Our Letter Search and Mat Activity is PERFECT for independent work and teamwork!
